Dallas-based inmate communication giant Securus introduces video visitation for family

Whether the father or mother is incarcerated or not, one still needs parental connection. Recent research shows that children and parents can have a positive influence on each other when they have regular contact. If a person is incarcerated, this connection is cut. The results of this lost connection are disastrous. Most inmates are considered unstable, behavior-wise. Affording them every stabilizing mechanism is an important step. There is no better emotional stabilizer than loving kids.

I always thought that Securus was a standout company, but little did I expect them to show such strong, innovative clout in the communication sector. I believe that this is by far the best thing that can happen to a child whose father has been incarcerated. For example, it is not like the father is incarcerated forever, he will need to one day come back to his family. Keeping tables with his family is paramount. He can watch his kids grow, help them adjust to difficulties in life, celebrate anniversaries with them and so on.

Kids find technology fun. The video visitation program is much better compared to calls. Children can see who they are talking to and can exchange information directly. Unlike calls, where children are distracted and lose interest, there is an emotional connection between the inmate and the child. A deeper connection that involves activities and so on. In a video visitation, it is possible to have more than one family member present, family reunions and get-togethers can help the child feel loved and cared for.

On the other hand, parents can take the challenge to be better people and to reform when they see what they are missing outside prison walls. There are over 2 million people behind bars. They have family and children who look up to them. It is a challenge to every inmate to rehabilitate and join his or her family.

Securus Technologies is a Dallas-based inmate communication solution provider. It was formed in 1986 and currently serves over 2600 prison facilities in the country. It has federal ad prison service contracts to offer communication, intelligence and crime dynamics in the country.

  1. Their latest video visitation service is an addition to VoIP calls, data analysis, and analytical tools for inmate intelligence agencies. This is an imaginable thing for research paper writer to allow these things to happen as it is.
